Configure Juniper routing instances in this hands-on vLab exercise. You'll create multiple isolated routing tables, assign interfaces to each instance, and run separate OSPF processes per instance — mirroring what VRF-Lite does on a Cisco router. Based on the OSPF Multi-Area vLab topology available in Juniper's free vLab environment.

  1. Hello,
When configuring the Area 0 on ge-0/0/3 for the VMX1 route. I get this error:

    [edit protocols ospf area 0.0.0.0]
    ‘interface ge-0/0/3.0’
Interface not configured in this instance

I’ve double-checked my work and made sure I’ve run everything. It works fine on VMX5
When doing a “show protocols ospf area 0” it shows the interface in there.
I’m not sure what is going wrong.
If someone is able to help I’d appreciate it. The other labs have been great
